Velo Hangar Razzl Dazzl

Wild vs Mild

Its not for everyone. Its not subtle like the other kits. Its not just about Velo Hangar or Gordon for that matter. It is however bright, different, an old WWI camouflage design, insanely cool…

” Credited to the British marine artist Norman Wilkinson, though with a rejected prior claim by the zoologist John Graham Kerr, it consisted of complex patterns of geometric shapes in contrasting colours, interrupting and intersecting each other. Unlike other forms of camouflage , the intention of dazzle is not to conceal but to make it difficult to estimate a target’s range, speed, and heading. Norman Wilkinson explained in 1919 that he had intended dazzle more to mislead the enemy about a ship’s course and so to take up a poor firing position, than actually to cause the enemy to miss his shot when firing.” (via wikipedia)

Thinking outside the box. While I’m not a fan of that metaphor, I do stand by the idea.

Now it’s probably making sense why I brought out the Razzl Dazzl socks earlier this year. With every kit sold you will also receive a pair of matching socks (while supplies last). The colors are a little brighter than my normal pantone’s I wanted the Orange and Light Blue to stand out a bit more. There are several Velo Hangar’s mixed into the pattern. I also added my signature 3 blocks to the back pockets for continuity. The back panel is navy because its a more durable lycra for wear.

I truly hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

**For a less garish kit there will be another kit from the past making a comeback in a few weeks for preorder as well.
